In 2022, Dipli managed to give 111,561 products a second life, saving 2,744 tonnes of CO2 and 8,579 tonnes of raw materials. This success is the result of a committed environmental approach, in order to reduce the impact of electronic devices by giving them a second life.

What are the advantages of giving tech products a second life? 

The carbon footprint of electronic products cannot be avoided, but their lifespan can be extended by offering a second use.  This saves energy, raw materials, water, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

Thanks to this approach, we managed to save 2744 tonnes of CO2, equivalent to the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by 2,000 people in a CO2-neutral world, but also :

💡 Did you know ? It is the manufacturing phase that is the main source of impact. Responsible for 78% of the carbon footprint and use of many natural resources :

• 80-85% ferrous and non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum, zinc, etc.)
• 0.5% precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, etc.)
• 0.1% rare earths and rare metals (europium, terbium, gallium, etc.)
• 15-20% of other substances such as magnesium, carbon, cobalth, lithium, etc.
