## A key development for the european electronics market

The new European regulation on USB-C connectors came into effect on December 28, 2024. It aims to harmonize charging standards for all electronic devices sold in Europe.

With nearly 420 million mobile phones sold each year in the European Union, this initiative seeks to reduce electronic waste, estimated at 11,000 tons per year just from chargers.
