Nowadays, it has become imperative for companies to measure and reduce their carbon footprint. As a social and solidarity economy (SSE) company, this realization makes perfect sense. That’s why we decided to take a decisive turn by launching a carbon footprint reduction action plan, fully integrated into our CSR strategy.
As part of this, conducting a carbon audit is not just a formality, but a strategic process essential for strengthening our eco-responsible commitment and advancing towards a more sustainable future. Alongside our first 2023 carbon report, we also had our CSR practices assessed through the EcoVadis rating.
Discover in this article all the details of our EcoVadis score and how this assessment is driving concrete actions to structure our climate strategy.
What are the principles of the EcoVadis rating?
Evaluating the CSR management system
EcoVadis evaluates the sustainability of companies through its CSR rating, which measures the quality of the sustainable management system based on three main criteria:
- Policies: commitments to responsibility and ethical business conduct,
- Actions: concrete initiatives implemented to achieve these goals,
- Reporting results: tracking performance through updated key performance indicators (KPIs).
Overall, EcoVadis helps companies improve their CSR efforts throughout their value chain. By using verified data and official documents provided by the companies, EcoVadis supports them in optimizing their sustainability practices and aligning them with international standards.
The 4 thematic pillars of EcoVadis
To evaluate a company’s CSR practices, EcoVadis relies on four key pillars, each crucial for determining overall sustainability. Each of these pillars is assessed based on policies, concrete actions, and reported results, providing a clear picture of overall CSR performance.
- Environment: everything related to energy management, resources, and carbon emissions.
- Social and Human Rights: respecting employees' rights, diversity, inclusion, and working conditions throughout the supply chain.
- Responsible Purchasing: sourcing practices to ensure that suppliers adhere to ethical and sustainable standards.
- Ethics: transparency, anti-corruption measures, and compliance with ethical standards in business management.
Why is the EcoVadis rating important for Dipli and its future commitments?
A mark of transparency and sustainability
Obtaining this EcoVadis rating not only reflects the quality of Dipli’s sustainability management system but also demonstrates our commitment to being transparent across our value chain, integrating ethical and responsible practices into all our operations.
Defining our short- and long-term CSR priorities
This recognition helps us not only assess our current CSR position but also define priorities to strengthen our actions in the future. Aware that this is just the beginning, we remain determined to continuously improve our environmental and social impact, which is why we have implemented our climate strategy.
What does a silver medal and a score of 74/100 mean?
Silver medal: top 15% worldwide
Receiving a silver medal from EcoVadis means that Dipli is among the top 15% of the highest-rated companies globally by EcoVadis in the 12 months leading up to the issuance of the medal.
This recognition further drives our commitment to maintaining a positive environmental impact, not only at the company level but also across our entire value chain.
